Logs and Account Audit Log
The Logs audit log records activity on your Logs stack, such as opening a visualizer or changing stack settings. The account audit log covers activity across your account, including user invitations.
To view the log messages sent by your applications, start with Getting Started Sending Logs.
Open an Audit Log
- Logs stack: Open your stack's Overview page, then select Audit Log under Logs in the stack menu. There is also an Audit Log link at the top of the stack's Overview page.
- Account: Select the account in the Logit.io dashboard. Open Account Settings, then select Audit Log in the Manage Account menu.
Access depends on your permissions. If you cannot see the relevant Audit Log option, ask your account administrator to check your access.
Find and Filter Events
Both audit log pages use the same controls:
- In Search by event or username, enter an event name or username. Press Enter or select the search button. In the account audit log, you can also search for a Stack ID.
- Open the Time menu and choose Last hour, Last 12 hours, Last 24 hours, Last 7 days or Last 30 days.
- To sort by username, open the User menu and choose A to Z or Z to A.
Each row shows the event time, user, IP address and event description. Expand a row to see more details, including the Stack ID, User ID and timestamp.
Use the controls at the bottom of the list to change the page size or move between pages. If no events match, try a broader search or a longer time period. To clear the text search, empty the search box and search again.
Export Events
When results are displayed, scroll to the bottom of the page and select Export CSV or Export JSON to download audit events for the selected stack or account.
The export is independent of the page's search text, Time selection and User sorting. These controls do not filter or sort the downloaded events.
