Dashboard Library
Use the Dashboard Library to add ready-made dashboards to your Logs stack and explore your log data in OpenSearch Dashboards. A pack groups dashboards for a data source or tool. You can install a whole pack or choose individual dashboards.
Open the library
In your Logit.io account, find your Logs stack on the dashboard and select Dashboard Library in the links at the bottom of its card. The library shows the stack name at the top. Check this before installing.
You need permission to edit dashboards on the stack to install them. If you can only browse, the library displays a permission notice.
Browse and search packs
Use Search dashboards to search by pack name, dashboard title, data source, or keyword. Use All to browse everything, or choose an available filter such as Logs, Metrics, Security, or Cloud.
Packs matching your stack's data appear first and have a Data detected badge. Choose Detected on your stack to filter to these packs. Use Rescan stack after sending data from a new source to check for matches again. If the stack check fails, you can still browse and install dashboards.
Read each dashboard's summary. Where available, expand Details to see who it is for, the questions it answers, and setup notes.
Install a pack
- Find the pack you want to install.
- Use Select all beside the pack to select its available dashboards, or tick individual dashboards. For a pack with a single dashboard, tick its card.
- Review your selection. Some dashboards matching your data may already be selected. Use Clear to start again if needed. Searching or changing filters does not clear selected dashboards.
- Select Install dashboards at the bottom of the page. The button shows how many dashboards you have selected.
- Allow a minute or two for installation, then select Open in OpenSearch Dashboards in the confirmation message. Open Dashboards in OpenSearch Dashboards to find your installed views.
What gets installed
Installation adds the selected dashboards, their required visualizations and saved searches, and index patterns used to find data in the stack. The dashboards are added alongside dashboards you have built yourself.
Dashboards need matching data and fields to show results. Follow the log setup guide to start sending logs. Check the pack's notes if panels remain empty; the library may flag fields that need keyword mappings.
Dashboards already added through the library show an Installed badge.
